Mike Lupica is a Phony

Two Sundays ago on the television show "The Sports Reporters", Mike Lupica declared that he would remember Steve McNair as the tough guy quarterback who was this era's Bobby Lane. He mentioned that all the "other stuff" surrounding McNair's death was not for him to worry about.
Then on the next episode and in his column in the NY Daily News he bashed all the folks who were saying the EXACT SAME THING that he was saying the week before. When he commented on the first show, we all knew that McNair had a mistress, even though ESPN, refused to call her that. When they reported, they would always say "his girlfriend". For those of us who did not know he was married, saying "girlfriend" without an explanation gave the wrong impression of the circumstances surrounding his death.

Lupica seems to always do this as if we don't all have TIVO or a brain. He is a washed up commentator/writer who has no business pontificating to us every Sunday. And they should stop calling these guys the "Sports Reporters" A reporter is someone who actually breaks stories. Like Selena Roberts!!! What was the last story Lupica broke? That Brett Favre was playing catch with high school kids in Mississippi?

WELCOME

This is my first post on my blog that will comment on the reporting of sports.
I feel as though there is much too little criticism of the actual sports commentators
and reporters. After years of listening/watching blowhards and jock sniffers (Chris Berman, Dan Patrick, Mike Greenberg, Collin Cowherd, Peter Gammons, etc) I have decided to share my opinion
with the world. (or whomever may want to listen)

I will try and post twice a week. This should be a lot of fun.

THANKS!!
